What’s new with me…

Gosh! I have been a busy bee the past few weeks, getting my hands dirty (with paint) colouring my models for my Colourful People Project. It’s amazing how everyone so far involved have really got into the spirit of it all, going out their way to help make this a visual treat. I can’t tell you how much fun it is to do. After this, I won’t want to take another NORMAL shot ever again. There’s too much of that happening. I think it’s good to take a step back, take the turning nobody else takes and seek for new ground. You see cows munching away on grass, they too have to move on to find a new patch of grass. We’re just like cows, really, aren’t we? Only I’m not seeking more grass, I’m seeking for something different. Hahaha. My friend, Sophie, recently wrote this on Facebook - “ I think if you stand out, the mediocre always try and take you down for doing something different “. I think that’s SO true. I’ve had that happen to me, for daring to do things differently. But all you can do is continue - and just put those silly creatures to one side and ignore them.

I had a set-back recently. But I’m over it now. It doesn’t pay to dwell on things that go wrong. If we can try to learn from such dilemmas then at least we can take SOMETHING from a bad situation to hopefully prevent another.

I’m really excited because the daffodils and blue bells are up in the forest, and I can hear the magic buzz of the Bee. I love spring so much. And I don’t care if that sounds un-cool. The cherry blossom trees are in bloom and I’m dying to photograph one of my models in one. I need to make it happen.

What else have I got to tell you? My fabulously bleached white hair has almost grown out. Gutted! I wanted to be an albino, it would save so much time and money on bleaching, but after a recent Google re-search, I found out that albinos can have all sorts of complications, so even they have to suffer for having such fabulous white hair. :-/ It’s not fair.

I’m SO behind on all my e-mail. It scares me to think of it. I don’t know where to begin!? I should really be replying to those instead of wittering on here on my Tumblr page, BUT it’s been ages since I last gave you a little up-date.

My last shoot was with Sally Davies and make-up artist Villiam. You can currently purchase one of the images on a t-shirt right now! It’s a fab shot that I don’t think could really age. Love it! I’ve had Madonna’s new album blasting out of my speakers whilst picture editing, and I’ve been doing a lot of that lately.

Okies, I’m going to make a nice sexy cup of tea and then shortly retire to my nest and hopefully I will wake up to discover my sore eye is better. It’s all blood shot and horrid to look at.

Much love,

D. xXx
